EAST Devon District Council’s parks and gardens teams are proud of the open spaces that they manage and pleased at consistently winning the prestigious Green Flag Awards from judges.
But the real icing on the cake is when the people who use the gardens give them the green light as well.
So the gardeners are justly proud that their efforts are recognised by the public through a survey carried out among 100 users of Sidmouth’s Connaught Gardens and Exmouth’s Manor Gardens.
The survey is carried out every two years and involves visitors to the gardens answering 23 set questions in face-to-face interviews.
A council spokesman said: "We welcome feedback and comments from the garden users. We will look into how any of their suggested improvements might be made".
