WE'VE had the Tour De France, Tour De Yorkshire … now it’s the turn of Tour De Exeter – on an exercise bike.
Colleagues at the Exeter branch of Skipton Building Society are raising funds for Comic Relief by taking it in turns to complete a branch cycle challenge. They will attempt to pedal an exercise bike over a full working day, and they’re asking customers to guess how far they’ll get!
The fund-raising will take place on Friday, 13 March, at the branch in Fore Street.
Daniel Muirden, Customer Adviser at Skipton’s Exeter branch, said: “We wanted to raise money for Comic Relief and I don’t think there’ll be anything funnier than seeing some of us on an exercise bike!
“We have forged links with a local charity-run gym for older people, who have been good enough to lend us a bike for the day.
"We see this as a good opportunity to get involved with the community and we’re delighted to team up with this organisation.”
