A man has been left with serious injuries following a suspected hit and run in Devon.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called to West End Road in Bradninch on Saturday night at 11.32pm.
A 53-year-old man was found in the road with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
He is described as being in a stable condition at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
Police say they don't know what type of vehicle yet.
The collision is believed to have happened in the hours of darkness.
Weather and road conditions were good, police said, although they deteriorated during time at the scene.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
