To celebrate its 25th birthday, manufacturers HepcoMotion held a fun day for its employees and their families.

The event was held at the Hepco headquarters at Lowman Way in Tiverton.

More than 250 people attended to celebrate and to receive a tour of the factory as Hepco opened the doors to the public for the first time.

According to Hepco, the tours were well received and it provided an opportunity for staff to share their engineering passion.

Hepco’s chairman, Giles Forster says: "We wanted to take this opportunity to thank all our employees for their hard work and contribution to our success.

"A quarter of a century in Tiverton is an important milestone and a celebratory event seemed the perfect way to mark this achievement."

More than 200 people are employed at the Tiverton site, with further offices across Europe.

The day was held for its employees and their families to enjoy live music, freshly cooked pizza and a barbecue, alongside entertainment for the children. A bouncy castle and glitter tattoo were on offer as well as a giant cupcake.

Hepco also offered employees the chance to win a hot air balloon ride in the company hot air balloon. Tickets were raffled and three winners were selected.

The day saw a total of £300 raised for the National Society for Dead Children, Michael Sobel Hospice and the Temwa Project.

The company relocated from London to a much larger site in Tiverton in 1991. The move allowed it to grow as a manufacturer of linear motion systems.
