FIRE: A car was left severely damaged following a fire on the M5 near Cullompton
A CAR was left severely damaged following a fire.
Two fire engines from Middlemoor and Danes Castle were sent to reports of a car on fire on the M5 between Sowton and Cullompton at 12.44pm.
The car was attached to a caravan , which had been detached prior to the fire service arriving.
Crews got to work with two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.
Crews confirmed the vehicle was severely damaged by fire, and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
There were delays on the motorway for some time as emergency services dealt with the incident.
