CELEBRATE rural life at the Mid Devon Show this weekend.

The show takes place on Saturday, July23, at Knightshayes in Chettiscombe, Tiverton.

The event brings together the best of Mid-Devon lifestyle with entertainment, food, shopping and live music, alongside a host of horticultural and farm life activities.

There will be a variety of areas to visit such as the Main Ring, Music and Dance Pavilion, the Countryside Arena and the kids area where children can play on the bouncy castle and ride donkeys.

More than 300 stalls will be on site selling an array of goods including food, drinks, jewellery, paintings and handmade soaps.

First-time organiser Jackie Stamp said: "There is so much going on, it is packed with everything you can imagine. I am not sure how people are going to have the time to see it all.

"I am determined to see everything.

"We are all hoping for some good weather, but this is Britain, so if people have to put their wellies on I am sure they wont mind."

People wanting to visit can park at the site or use the public transport provided across the region. Hourly buses leave from Tiverton Bus Station and other buses leave around 9am from Cullompton and Crediton.

Tickets are £15 on the door.
